Snapchat Birthday Filters - Snapchat rolled out special features on February 23rd,2016 that will only be available one day a year, one of which can only be used on your birthday, and one that can only be used if snapping friends on their birthday.

With this update, Snapchat has added new filters and emoji that will show next to the name of friends who are celebrating their special day, essentially serving as a reminder to send them a happy birthday snap like other social networking sites. Lastly the company will be updating the time filter, allowing users to tap it so it displays the day’s date instead of current time.


The feature needs to be manually enabled by heading straight to Settings and choosing the Birthday option. Please note that, since the update only appears to bring the birthday features, if those features aren’t enabled then nothing will show up.

Enabling the feature also helps Snapchat, since a person’s birthday is valuable data that can be sold on again to advertisers. Twitter took advantage of the same thing last year when it added special animations that come up on a person’s birthday, and a field showing it on people’s profiles which also worked as a way of encouraging people to make their personal information public.

How to get Snapchat birthday filters


If you want to set up the Birthday Party feature on Snapchat don’t worry, the process is easy and will take you no time at all. To activate the birthday features on snapchat and get exclusive happy birthday lenses as well as a few more features, all you have to do is follow this short list of instructions.

First, you need to let Snapchat know your birth day. Update your Snapchat app to the latest version, then you need to enable this feature on Settings –> My Account, then tap on Birthday.


You need to confirm your birthday to make sure the information is correct, then tap okay

When you enable the birthday feature of the new Snapchat update, you will get a Cake Emoji next to your username on Snapchat. The cake emoji for your birthday on Snapchat will be visible to people who have added you. This way they will know it is your birthday and send you happy birthday snaps. The 2016 birthday party update also allows you to use an exclusive lens on the day of your birthday. This allows you to share with all your friends that it is your birthday. After your big day is over the happy birthday snapchat lens will no longer be available.

How to use Snapchat Face Swap




Lets assume you have Snapchat and the latest version, to enjoy this new feature you need to update your Snapchat app to the latest version which is available on app market.
  1. First go to your snapchat filters using the front facing camera (top right).
  2. Swipe left through the filters till you get to the fifth one which is the Snapchat Face Swap filter.
  3. Next, inorder to have that extra face you will need to grab a friend or anything thing like you pet hat you *would like to swap faces with and align your faces into the round face holes provided.
  4. Now, launch the Snapchat app and tap twice on the camera screen for activating the front camera.
  5. Then tap and hold on your face until the new lenses come up. Browse through them and choose the Face Swap lens, denoted by two smiling faces and arrows.
  6. Now point the front camera at you with the second person beside you.
  7. Once the camera recognizes two faces, it will swap them automatically.
  8. Click on the Face Swap button to capture your magic moment (click once for photo, hold down for video) and send your snap to friends or add to your story as per usual.
  9. You can now snap a photo or shoot a small video clip.

Enabling Authentication App Verification:
To enable Login Verification with an authentication app, please follow these steps:

  4. Tap Settings the 'Continue' button.

Forgetting Verified Devices: Only your password is required to log in on a device you’ve verified with Login Verification. If one of your verified devices gets lost or stolen, follow these steps to Forget a devices you’ve verified.

1. Tap  at the top of your Camera screen
2. Tap  on the Profile screen
3. Tap 'Login Verification' under the 'My Account' section
4. Select 'Forget Devices'
5. Select which verified device(s) you'd like Snapchat to forget and then tap 'Forget Devices'

If you'd like to use a device you’ve forgotten with Login Verification in the future, you will need to re-verify the device.

Login Snapchat account Online

There two ways through which you can login your Snapchat account Online or through your computer. One is the through the Snapchat's officail online login site and second is through Third Pary application.

Snapchat Online Login through website

Head over to the official Snapchat online login site : https://accounts.snapchat.com. Once you enter the site, there will be a space/field for your Snapchat Username and Password to enter. Enter exactly the same username and password while you are creating an account on your smartphone. Just hit the Log In button and you are done.

Snapchat Login through Third Party App

To access your Snapchat account on your desktop or laptop PC or Mac please follow these short instructions.

1. Download and install the BlueStacks App Player on your PC or Mac.
2. Open BlueStacks and search for Snapchat Application.
3. When you find it, click on the “Install” button to use the PC version.
4. Once installed, open Snapchat for PC and click “Log In”.
5. Enter your Snapchat username or email address in the first field.
6. Enter your password in the second box.
7. Click on the “LOG IN” button one more time.
